This summer Davis learned to ride a bike.
At the beginning of the summer there was rough patch. Mike and I were pretty sure the day would never come where we could go bike riding as a family without having to haul the kids around in a trailer.
About a month ago everything changed. Mike took the pedals off D's bike and he had to learn how to balance. Less than 24 hours later we put the pedals back on and he was riding his bike. Well, what's the next step after learning how to ride? Enter a race of course!

Mike has been riding in weekly mountain bike races and Davis couldn't wait to join him. The kid's race is just before the main race. I was nervous and excited for D. To change things up, I used my Fuji Instax to document the night's events. For the record Davis came in last, but he killed it. I don't think that kid could have ridden any harder. Mike on the other hand came in first. I'm a super proud wifey. Our family covered the spectrum.
Our summer list is nearly all checked off. What's left? Some pretty serious stuff. Like camping and making homemade ice cream. Okay, so the second one is not going to be hard to complete, but I might have to modify the camping one.
How is your summer list coming? I checked in on some of my new years goals last night. Whoa, I have some shaping up to do there.
