I bought this pair of sandals last spring. They are the perfect mixture of gold and silver metallic color.
Love them.
Then there was a mishap.
It was my own fault, but it's hard not to look for someone else to blame.
There was no passing the buck. It was all me.
After trying on some jeans at the store, I slipped the sandals on, but didn't buckle them. I thought I would just do it once I was out of the store. Tess and I shopped around for another ten minutes then checked out. When I got outside I realized one of my straps was missing. I buckled my sandals on and retraced my steps. The strap is lost forever.
I was heart broken for about a minute, then decided to find the positive in this situation.
1. I could take the second strap off my other sandal and they would match again.
And
2. It's almost boot season. I'll just treat myself to some new boots soon. ;)
I pulled off my now "extra" strap and set it aside.
My kitchen shears did a great job of trimming off the extra tab on my sandals.
Not bad, huh? Still super good sandals and now I get a bracelet to match.
I wasn't sure if you would be able to tell the bracelet was really a shoe strap. After I saw this in my Nordstrom magazine, I knew I was golden. Michael Kors and I are so chic.
