Mike's way of tying shoes laces may just change your life.
Most of us tie our shoes with a granny knot. The technique Mike shares in the video, ties your laces into a square knot. Your laces are a lot less likely to come untied with the square knot. This is especially helpful when you are jogging in your tennies. Flint Lockwood could have benefited from this lesson before he sprayed his shoes on permanently.

I LOVE this!! Since Mike's taught me I've been tying them that way and haven't needed to double knot. Now I look down at all the people who double knot their shoes and I want to show them this way!
Cute video! I've been tying my shoes this way since 7th grade! My friend taught me how. It took me a couple tries but now I feel weird when I tie them any other way. It's so fast and easy! I never noticed that it ended up being a square knot so good to know! :)
This totally made me laugh. My FIL invented a variation of shoe tying too. Instead of looping around once like on a normal knot, you loop around twice. It is as sturdy as a double knot. If I ever make a video, I'll let you know. ;-)
