We threw Tess' birthday/going away party in June before our journey to the prairie. The theme was "Cupcakes In The Park."
I sent Paperless Post invites to all the little girls in Tess' kinder class, as well as to all our neighborhood friends. If you haven't heard of Paperless Post, go check it out sometime. It is a really great way to send invites and keep the replies organized. This post is not sponsored by Paperless Post. I genuinely like their product.
We reserved the park pavillion and rearranged the tables to accomadate our cupcake decorating. I may have gone a little crazy on the sprinkles, but it was too hard to only pick one or two.
So with a handful of sprinkle options, chocolate and vanilla frosting

chocolate, and funfetti cupcakes

Best Party Ever!

Hosting this party at the park was the best idea ever. Sprinkle clean up was a breeze, and there was lots of room to run around.

As the girls finished decorating, my mom friends helped package up their cupcakes for them to take home. Aside from the extreme winds blowing that day, things couldn't have run any smoother.
We did sing a little Happy Birthday ditty to Tess, but the lit candles wasn't happening. Tess got a kick out of it.
Hooray for parties in the park. Hooray for lots of cute friends, and even a little brother who decided to photo bomb the group picture.
