My fondest 4th of July memories are from my home town of Kailua. Cheering at the parade in the morning, hitting the beach for swimming and a potluck in the afternoon, then watching the fireworks while sitting on the shore. In Kailua, the city does a fireworks show that they shoot off of Flat Island.

Ya, it's pretty amazing. Someday I will take my kids to Kailua for the 4th. I hope you have a happy and safe holiday.
