Before we hit the road to Bismarck, Tess was anxious for me to open a few presents .
I love her sweet notes and doodles. Can you read what she wrote? Basically she loves me, I'm beautiful, and my smiling face is cute like a bunny. Spot on, right?

Dad had a meetings so the kids and I killed time shopping. Our first stop was Target to buy all the not so necessaries, but oh so desirables. Both Targets that we have been to in ND anchor the mall. So we took our big red shopping cart out into the mall. Kind of better than a stroller.

To cap off my birthday night we took the kids to a late movie and saw Hotel Transylvania. I laughed out loud, like my mom would in a movie, and it felt good. This is also the second theater in ND that we have been to, and they only take cash. Conveniently they have an ATM in the lobby. Tricky.

After some breakfast, swimming in the hotel pool, and money spent at the craft store we were off for some pumpkin patching. Pumpkins, hay bales, zip lines, corn maze, sling shot, log jam, corn crib, and pink hotdogs. Two and a half hours of non stop action.
Our last stop was Harmon Lake - mountain biking for dad, and running around for the kids.
It really was a fabulous weekend, and I'm so lucky to have a great family. 32 is going to be a great year.
