Welcome October!
October is a big party month in our house. Collin and I both have birthday's this month, and it's been tradition for the last decade to have a Halloween bash. With our families so far away it makes me a little sad, but no reason we shouldn't still party!
This is the first year we have had a mantel to decorate, and I'm really liking it. We don't do the scary or super creepy Halloween in our house. My approach is a little more colorful and sugary.
We are very on trend this year with tassel garland. I tried my hand at both tissue paper tassels, and plastic tablecloth tassels. Honestly I found the tissue paper tassels easier, but I love the look of both.

3. The color orange is celebrated and accepted by all. Orange has been my favorite color for a reaaally long time. Like even before it was cool. Just saying.
